Its very rare that I get to write about my sessions anymore there is always something more pressing on the to do list, but knew I had to write about this special blog post. On a family trip to the Coastal Carolinas last summer, my little sister, Robbyn, fell in love with the small, riverside town of Wilmington, North Carolina. While we were on the trip, she she promised me that she would fly me to Wilmington for a mini-vacation if I would shoot her engagement pictures while we were there. Although she was pretty serious with her now fiance, Blake, I didn't quite believe she would want to fly over 1,200 miles for engagement pictures. Well, she proved me WRONG! Soon after Blake proposed in December, Robbyn had our trip to the friendly little town on the East Coast booked for late April. How could anyone not love Wilmington? The downtown area sits on the riverside and is full of history and culture while the beach is only 10 minutes away. The trip was certainly one to remember and I was able to capture more than enough unique images of Robbyn and Blake. The locals of Wilmington thought we were crazy for traveling over 1,200 miles to their small town to shoot engagement pictures. We simple smiled and said, "not crazy, just crazy for unique photography." Congrats to Robbyn & Blake! The couple is planning an October, 6th wedding.
